Charlotte Cyber Events makes it easy to discover upcoming cybersecurity, CISO, and information security events across the Charlotte area. Organizations can publish and administer their own events, helping security leaders, practitioners, and the local cybersecurity community find relevant gatherings in one dependable place.
Why Use This Service as an organization
When scheduling an event, it is easy to unknowingly pick a date or time that clashes with another gathering in the same community. Conflicting events split the audience and limit attendance for everyone involved. By publishing on a single shared calendar, you can see what is already happening in the Charlotte cybersecurity space and choose a slot that avoids those conflicts, so more of your intended audience can actually make it to your event.
Getting started is simple, and you choose the level of involvement that suits your organization. Request an account and manage your events directly on the platform, or simply provide an iCal feed URL and your events will synchronize in automatically — no manual entry required.
It is free, and provided as a service to everyone participating in the community.
Publish Your Events
Reach out to email us to get an account, letting us know the organization you represent. You will be given access to manage your own events. You will also be provided both an iCal feed and an embeddable calendar you can embed your events on your own site. See this as a free calendaring service for your site.
Alternatively, email email us with the .ics feed URL for your organization's events, and those events will automatically be shown on Charlotte Cyber Events.
From your own calendar, simply invite 'this email address' to your event. You can then manage your event thru your own calendar. There will be a delay while your invitation is approved.
Publishing events through this service is free for the benefit of the cybersecurity community in the Charlotte area.
Secure Account Access
After the invite url is received - it will require you to enroll passkey. Windows Hello, Android, iPhone, Yubikey and other hardware backed passkey providers should all work. Software passkey is not as secure and may not work.
